The Junior hurlers played their last league game of the year in Division 2 of the East Cork League when we took on league leaders and neighbours Russell Rovers.Fielding an under strength team we were no match for the Rovers who finished their campaign of 8 matches unbeaten. This result leaves us with 5 points from our 8 games the same tally as Dungourney and Killeagh with Castlelyons propping up the table with 4 points from 6 games at the moment. Two teams are relegated to division 3 so our fate for 2014 is as yet uncertain.
Thanks to David Ring and his management team for their efforts and also to the players who gave their all during the course of the league.

Premier Intermediate team Ballinora were the visitors on Saturday night last for a division 4 league game.Again an under strength team were no match for the opposition who made no secret of the fact that they have targeted winning the league having finished 3rd over the last 2 years. The final scoreline of 2.18 to 6 points didn’t do justice to our efforts and with 3 games left in the campaign we are still in with a mathematical chance of qualifying for the final. Our remaining games are against Youghal,Carrigaline and Mayfield.
