Football;
The intermediate footballers took on Canovee last Friday night at home as we strive to play the remaining Division 4 league games.The 2 points garnered on Friday night will keep us in the hunt for a top 2 finish.The final score after an improved second half performance was 2.11 to 1.07.We continue our league games with a home tie against Ballinora next Saturday 14th at 7.15pm.
The Junior hurling team continued their preperations for the upcoming championship by finishing off their league campaign with 2 home games against Glenbower Rvs and Aghada respectively.Defeat was our lot in both games but the management team were delighted with both performances and with time for a few training sessions they should be well prepared come championship time.

Hurling;
Congratulations to both Cork and Clare who served up an excellent game in headquarters last Sunday.Cork after the initial disappointment wears off will be delighted with the second chance to prove that they are a better team than they showed for the majority of the drawn game.The replay has been fixed for 5pm on Saturday 28th Sept so get your ticket for an occasion not to be missed.
Congrats also to the Waterford minors who bridged a 65 year gap by winning the title against Galway.Food for thought for the Cork County board was this victory aided as a result of the decision by the Waterford County Board to enter amalgamated schools in the Harty Cup.

Cycling;
A huge thank you and well done to the 13 cyclists who cycled from Malin Head to Mizen Head recently in aid of our development fund.It was definitely the most physical effort that was put in to a fundraising effort in the club’s history.Anyone who still has a sponsorship cards outstanding could they please return them to any committee member so we can go ahead with the draw for the €500 first prize.
