Killeagh-Ita’s Juvenile GAA Notes
Killeagh-Itas 4-12   Na Piarsaigh 5-13
Our under 16 hurlers bowed out of the Premier 1 County Championship on Sunday morning last as they lost out to Na Piarsaigh by 4 points in Cobh. Both teams played very well and our lads were unlucky to loose out. We played against the wind in the first half but Killian Treacy caused havoc for their full back line and we trailed 4-6 to 2-6 at the break thanks to points from Killian Treacy, Aaron Walsh, Darragh O’Brien, Dan Landers and Emmet Barron as well as goals from Killian and Dan.
We played very well in the second half especially Christy Coughlan who got on a lot of the breaking ball. Darragh O’Brien and Killian Treacy both raised the green flag while points from Killian, Jack Merchusuv, Cathal Deane, Darragh O’Brien and Dan Landers kept our hopes alive but in the end we narrowly lost out. Na Piarsaigh now progress in the competition while the under 16 campaign is over for another year.
Killeagh Team; D Cusack, E Fitzgibbon, J O’Rourke, K Cantillon, K Fennelly, K Murphy, E Barron, C Coughlan, D O’Brien, J Merchusuv, D Landers, C Deane, P Delaney, K Treacy, A Walsh. Subs Used; D Ogbebor.

Fé 13 Development Hurling League.
Valley Rovers 2-5
Killeagh/Ita’s 1-3

Our lads travelled to Innishannon for round 3 of the Fé 13 hurling Rebel Óg Development League .
In a tight and hard fought game, it was ding dong all the way through with very little between the sides until a goal by Valley Rovers two minutes from the end helping them to pull clear ( a bit like Cork in their win over Dublin on Sunday!)
Despite the loss the lads gave it everything, Robert Sinclair was a tour de force at centre back, his brother George gave it everything at wing forward with Paul Delaney putting in a very solid display from wing back in the second half. Aaron O Connell gave a very assured performance in goal also.
Ballincollig are up next on Monday the 19th in Killeagh. Throw in 7.30pm.
Team: Aaron O’Connell, Daniel Lucey, Cian MacDonald, Patrick Barry, Danny Cunningham, Robert Sinclair, Cathal Fitzgibbon, Olan Broderick, Karl O’Toole, George Sinclair, Ryan McCarthy, Oisin McCarthy, Olan Coleman, Darragh O’Connor, Paul Delaney, Robbie Treacy.
