East Cork U21 B Hurling Quarter Final
Castlegoold 1-20 Cobh 1-6

The combined U21 team of Castlemartyr and Lisgoold have progressed to an East Cork Semi Final after a comfortable win over Cobh in Carrigtwohill last Sunday night. Castlegoold never looked like losing this one after racing into a 1-3 to 0-00 lead inside the first 10 minutes. Barry Lawton found the net from a 21 yard free. Castlegoold led at half time on a score of 1-13 to 0-02 with center forward John Cashman from Lisgoold doing most of the damage up front.
Cobh played much better in the second half, but with Castlegoold enjoying such a comfortable lead at half time they could not close the gap sufficiently to trouble our lads. John Cashman contimued to fire over points from play and frees and Barry Lawton also raising white flags.
In the end it was very comfortable for Castlegoold who now await the winners of Watergrasshill and Carrigtwohill who drew their quarter final.

Junior A Hurling East Cork Semi Final
Following our good win over Carrignavar we now play Carrigtwohill in the semi final this Friday night 9th August in Rostellan at 7.30pm. Carrigtwohill beat one of the pre championship favourites Dungourney in their quarter final and with the same squad of players available again for the semi final will sure to provide a huge challenge on the night. Huge support will be needed on the night if we are to get our lads over the line and into the final.
