All funds raised on the day will go to the Mercy Foundation. We would ask parents to bring sandwiches, scones etc to the club. These will be required after the walk when we will gather in the hall. Details for the day: Meet at the club at 1.30pm. The walk will take 45mins approx. Refreshments in the club hall after.
The walk will be followed by the LAUNCH of Midleton GAA's Healthy Club Project with you & your family our main interest. There will be information on Nutrition & Diet, Holistic Health, Healthy Heart and physical fitness tips. We will also have a visit from John Murphy of Murphy's Pharmacy who will advise on health in general.
Also on the day we will have access to the gym for any parents who wish to see how our club facilities are growing and how the monies from fundraising are used. Juvenile Notes

Fe10
Last Friday night we took on Kilta Og in Castlemartyr in two entertaining hurling games, with very little between the teams the honours eventually went to the hosts.
Fe12
On Friday the 19th Blarney travelled to the CBS to play us in the Fe12 Rebel Og League. Blarney had 19 players so we played one game 10 aside and the other 9 aside. This turned out to be a great evenings hurling with both sides displaying some great skill. We won both games by a few points but there was only a puck of a ball between these two sides. Thanks to Blarney for great evenings hurling. Next game is in Mallow on Monday the 22nd.
Fe14
Pride of place goes to our Feile Hurlers who put up a brave effort last Saturday in Killeagh, they defeated St Vincents in the quarter final 4-05 v 1-01 but agonisingly lost out in the semi final to Na Piarsaigh by 1-07 to 2-08, well done to all involved.
Fe16
Our Hurlers were in action during the week away to Carrigaline and were leading by three points when the lights went out! We await the outcome of this result?

Saturday coffee mornings
With training back in action on Saturday mornings at the main pitch we have once again opened up the club lounge with free tea and coffee for parents of players. Why not drop in and meet up with parents from your child’s team. Any parents who want to help serving the teas and coffees would be more than welcome.

Upcoming Juvenile Club Dates
The following dates may be of interest to parents.
April 27th Mercy Hospital Charity Fun Walk/Healthy Club Project
July 1st to 5th Cúl Camp
July 10th & 11th Juvenile Golf Classic

Gum Shields
From the 1st of January 2013 it is now compulsory for juvenile players to wear gum shields (mouth Guards). The rule relates to both football training and matches. This ruling has come from GAA Headquarters and anybody not wearing a gum shield and who subsequently gets injured during a match or training session will not be covered by GAA insurance.
GAA recommended gum Shields can be purchased from our juvenile club sponsor Murphy’s Pharmacy in Midleton.
Please ensure that your child has a gum shield for every training session and game.

Training
Training times have recently changed for juvenile teams. The most up to date information can be found on the Juvenile Teams page on www.midletongaa.com For players from junior infants to Fe 9 please remember to bring your €2 to training sessions. This money is vital to keep the juvenile section of the club funded.

Midleton Juvenile Golf Classic
The dates for the 2013 juvenile Golf Classic have been confirmed as Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th of July. We hope this year’s event can live up to the quality of the previous years and that the community support it as well as in the past. Please spread the news to those who you think might sponsor a team or a prize.

2013 Cúl Camp
Following the standing down of Jim O’Sullivan who previously managed the Cúl Camp arrangements Pa Beausang has stood up to the plate to arrange this year’s event.
The 2013 Cúl camp will take place from July 1st to 5th in the Club.
More details will be available nearer to the starting date.
The club would like to thank Pa for his help with this year’s Cúl Camp
