Glenville GAA Report

Our Intermediate Footballers continued on the winning road when defeating
Grenagh on Tuesday night last. In bitterly cold conditions which has become
the norm when playing football games this year Glenville were in trouble
early on and coughed up some cheap scores. On the other side we began
pretty inept up front and Grenagh dealt fairly comfortably with us.
Trailing 0-5 to 0-3 our scores were from Jason Foley Brendan Maloney. A
transformed rejuvenated display void of the earlier sloppiness had us in
total control in the second and quickly whittled away the two deficit.
Shooting on the other hand wasnt up to scratch and we left Grenagh in the
game with many scorable chances going astray, until a Noel o Riordan goal
finished the game as a contest. Glenville well worth the 1-10 to 0-9 win.
Well done all, putting us on top of the league with maximum points after
four outings. Glenville were short a number of players for this game and
hope that we will come close to championship numbers for our next league
game. Championship is on May 4th v Naomh Aban and we play Kinsale and
Mallow prior to this.

The U11 Footballers have been invited to the John Kerins tournament in St
Finbarrs on Saturday morning. First game is at 11.15am. Best of luck.
