Castlemartyr GAA Notes 04/03/2013
Fitzgibbon Cup success for Castlemartyr
Well done to Brian and Barry Lawton who were part of the successful UCC team who won this years Fitzgibbon cup. This competition is of an exceptional standard  so to have two players from our club on the team is a great achievement .
Junior Hurling League
Castlemartyr begin the Junior A hurling league campaign with an away  tie against Bride Rovers on Sunday 10th March at 3pm in Rathcormack. Cha O’Neill will be hoping to get the team off to a winning start so your support will be appreciated for this game.
U21 Football championship
This year Castlemartyr are joining forces with Lisgoold to play in both hurling and football at U21 level. As we haven’t fielded at this grade for a number of years, this amalgamation is a real positive for the club as it provides valuable championship action for players making the transition from minor to junior. The team will compete under the name of Castlegoold and are down to play Bride Rovers in the first round of the U21 B football championship in Carrigtwohill on Sat 9th March at 3pm.
