Annual General Meeting:
Russell Rovers GAA AGM was held before a good attendance on Sun 5th Jan. Secretary Brendan Kearney gave a thorough account of all the happenings of the club during the past year both on and off the pitch. Brendan in particular wished to highlight the Endeavours of the Minor team this year, who reached the A grade hurling final and were very unlucky on the day. It was also noted that Eoin Ivers, Pa Morrissey and Seamus Kearney be singled out for special mention following the huge personal effort put in by them in fundraising for the club during the year. Treasurer Tim Cummins presented his report on the financial position of the club in which he outlined all the income and expenses for the year. The cost of running the club continue to increase on a yearly basis. Outgoing chairman Dick Fitzgerald gave a comprehensive report of all the club activities during the past year. He thanked everybody involved with the club people for the huge effort put in all year since the year began in Jan 2012. The election of Officers to the Executive was completed as well as electing a new chairman.

Committee: Eoin Ivers, Pa Morrissey, David Walsh, Martin O’Sullivan, Seamus Kearney, Mossie Coffey-Walsh, Michael Kearney, Sean Walsh, Vincent Walsh and Christy O’Sullivan.
It was noted that there are a number of new faces in the committee and the inclusion of playing members is seen as a good step in the right direction. This season’s first action will start in the first or second week of February, with the football league, looking forward to a great season in store.

The All Rovers Talent Show is taking place on Friday evening 8th March. All Welcome for a night of craic, laughs and even a song or two. All acts welcome so get you’re thinking hats on folk’s young and old alike, competition should be fierce. Tickets €10 will cover a delicious choice of Chicken Curry or Fish and Chips for the nom noms. Thanks to Mossy Tattan and staff at the Blackbird, Ballycotton for their kind sponsorship.
Congratulations to Martin O'Sullivan on his recent election to the GPC. After many years of sterling service to the unheralded side of the representative cause, it’s no more than deserved, great work ethic, and a solid negotiator. Best of luck with your new role!
Membership for the coming year:
Membership for the year is now due. Rates are €50 and €40 for students. Please give the money to Brian Crowley or Seamus Kearney. Forms can be downloaded from the club website, click on the admin tab and you can download the form.
GAA Season Tickets.  
The 2013 GAA Season tickets are now on sale.  The Ticket combines admittance to the National League games and first round championship game for either the Cork Hurling and/or football teams. The Ticket represents a huge saving on the individual ticket prices to each game. Full details on
