Junior Football;
The division 3 footballers took on Carrigtohill on Monday night last 20th August in a league match.
Fielding a team that was a mixture of youth and experience we took the spoils on a scoreline of 3.05 to 2.03.
This team have yet to see championship action and will probably play a few more league games before their championship fixture against Carraig na Bhfear.

Intermediate Football;
On Friday night last we entertained Mayfield in round 8 of the Intermediate football league.
With our championship game fixed for Saturday 1st Sept this was our last game in preparation for a tough task against Fermoy .If we thought the recent hurling disappointment would be a hindrance we were mistaken as Cloyne played an excellent first half of football culminating in a 7 point half time lead with 3 goals scored, 2 from the boot of Colm O Sullivan and the other a penalty converted by Diarmuid O Sullivan.
Understandably with the lack of football played in recent weeks our second half performance didn’t match the first but we saw out the game well winning by 3 points 3.07 to 1.10.
Best of luck to the team and management in their preparations ahead of the weekend’s championship game.
