Glenville GAA News
A relatively quiet week on the playing fields with very little to report.
At juvenile level the U8 and 7s had two games against Mallow in Glenville and away to Erins Own. The U10s had a great run out in Pairc Ui Chaoimh last Thursday and took part in a blitz hosted by Coiste na Contae. Glenville played Erins Own and Aghada and gave a very good account of themselves. The U15 Footballers travelled to Togher on Sunday morning to take on the home side. This was a tough game for our side as we were short a few of our stronger players but competed well against a very strong Barrs side. Glenville on the wrong end of a 6-6 to 0-9 scoreline.
This coming week Glenville teams in action are the Minor Premier Championship where we have a tough task in overcoming Carbery Rangers. Glenville will be without Kevin o Neill and Dave Hammond both broken hands while Jack McCarthy is on holidays. A tough task already made tougher. The game is on Friday night but as of yet no venue has been announced. The Minors have a challenge game on this Monday night in Fouhy Park v Ballinora at 7.30pm. Also on tonight Monday night the U9 Footballers face Fermoy in Fermoy at 7pm.
On Tuesday the U14 Footballers play Passage in the league. This game is in Passage at 7pm.
