Sarsfields GAA Club News

Cobh had a great win in this quarter final tie on Saturday night,Sarsfields who had controled the  game from the outset were left shell shocked when a never say die Cobh goaled with virtually the last puck of the game.Sars were the dominant force for most of this very entertaining encounter but were never able to land  the killer punch to this galant Cobh side.Sars were leading by fourteen points to eleven going in to the last ten minutes and looking comfortable when Cobh struck for a great opportunist goal.Sars to their credit rallied,a great catch by Rownan Murphy from the puck out and Robbie O Driscoll converted the resulant  free, then Sars had another point a minute  later and it looked game set and match ,but Cobh held their nerve and were rewarded  with a second goal in the dying seconds  of this contest. Sars will look  back on missed chances, but Cobh deserve great credit for hanging in when the going was tough.
Sars Lotto now stands at a whopping 10,600euro, a nice sum at any time .Tickets are available at usual outlets also the Sars Pavillion. Congratulations to Conor O Suillivan, Daniel kearney ,Cian McCarthy plus all the Cork Panel and Mentors on reaching the All Ireland  Semi Final.
