Well done to all the Aghada ladies who wereon the Imokilly Senior panel who defeated Liscarroll over the weekend and alsowell done to the Junior Ladies who were narrowly defeated by St Michael’s onMonday evening in Rostellan. Roisin Phelan also lined out in the All Irelandsemi final with the Cork Minors last Saturday but they lost to Dublin

Our S F C fixture has been confirmed forSat 11th Aug and if Cork win the next rd of games are down for  the weekend of the 1st Sept. nowthat could be hurling or football.

Our Minor footballers bowed out of theirChampionship last Thur night when they were unlucky to lose to a strongKilmurry side. At the short whistle the Mid Cork lads led by six points toAghada’s three. Most of the Kilmurry scores came form frees as we spurned greatchances for both goals and points.

On resumption The Mid Cork boys goaled andput it up to our lads and how they responded bringing it back to the bareminimum with minutes left. We hade a great chance to go ahead only for the postto deny us. After that our legs went and they tacked on 1-2 against the run ofplay

Great performance from all, great effortand great heart, good signs for next few years at minor level as 12of the 20 who featured are eligible next year and 10 of the 20 are U16.
