Dungourney took on Newtownshandrum at home last Friday night and came away with all the points. In a low scoring first half dictated by a very strong westerly wind Dungourney with points from Shane Casey(2)'Shane Hegarty(2) John Ronayne and Ken Kelleher shaded it by 6 points to 4.
The second half however was a different story with the wind to their backs our lads ran away with the game adding 1-14 to their total Kevin Kelleher scoring 2-04 on the way to defeating a weak Newtownshandrum side.
Bride Rovers await in Dungourney on Wednesday night for the penultimate game in this league they will be a much tougher proposition final score Dungourney 2-20 Newtownshandrum 2-06.
