Bride Rovers GAA Notes.

Football Championship Postponed.

Our Round Three East Cork Junior FootballChampionship game against Glenbower Rovers was postponed  from last Friday night. The game was  fixed for Ballynoe but we were not in aposition to field a team due to a huge spate of injuries to players. Of theteam that defeated Aghada in thee first round of the competition eight weeksago nine players were unavailable. At the time of writing the game has not beenfixed but with both clubs playing first round games in the Cork Senior Hurlingchampionship in a little over two weeks a re-fixture at the end of May or earlyJune would be welcome.

Glenbower Rovers are 2011 East Cork Championsand like ourselves would have several players on both junior football andsenior hurling teams.

I was in Fermoylast Thursday night to witness a thrilling Feile Semi Final between our underfourteen hurlers and Ballygiblin. We were ahead by 5 points with time almost upbut back came Ballygiblin to get a draw. In the end after 70 minutes we lost bya goal. It was a great game but a very disappointing game to lose. On Monday atBallinlough Ballygiblin Beat Nemo Rangers by 5 6 to 1   12 to win out thecompetition.
