Minor Football.

The minor footballers took on our neighbours Russel Rvs in round 4 of the football league on Thursday night last 3rd May.
On a difficult night for football this was an entertaining game that was in the balance right up to the final whistle with the scores level at 1.04 each at the interval, the goal a lovely finish from young Matthew O Neill following a good passing move.
The second half continued in the same vain with scores very hard to come by,we got our noses in front following a Ciaran Mullins goal and at this stage it looked like we would hold out for a victory but the concession of a late soft goal saw us lose out by a point 2.06 to 2.05.
This was a good effort from a young side who gave their all on the night.

Scrap Collection

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped to make last weekends Scrap Metal Collection a great success and thanks also to all who donated items of scrap.
This was a win win venture for everyone and hopefully will turn out to have been a financial success and a positive start on our fundraising drive to get our new development at River St off the ground.

All roads lead to Riverstown on Saturday night next 12th May for the first round of the Intermediate football championship.
As last year our opponents are the competition favourites Eire Og but Cloyne have prepared well under the management team of Donal O Shea,Kevin Lawton and Diarmuid O Sullivan and wont be found wanting on the night.

We return to hurling action on Monday 14th with a Senior game V St Finbarrs in Midleton at 7.30 pm and against Midleton on Sat 19th at 7.00 pm away.

The club would like to extend best wishes to Mr Eddie Harty of Hartys Bar and Restaurant who are good supporters of Cloyne GAA and current Minor sponsors.
Eddie is currently hospitalised and we hope to see him out and about as soon as possible.
