Once again wewere slow to start and went 2 points into arrears, we settled down and withsome good passing movements we scored 1-2 from play, Alan O Keeffe followedthis with a further goal before the half-time whistle and we were then deprivedof a 3rd goal when their cul-bara dropped the ball and Alan drove to the net.At half-time we led by 2-2 to 0-5.

Newtown openedthe 2nd half brightly and had 5 points from play followed by a goal giving themthe lead by 1-10 to 2-2. We fought back to score 3 points but they eventuallywon by 1-14 to 2-5.

The display onthe night was heartening and the players present showed pride in the jersey.
