BRIDE ROVERSGAACLUB NOTES.

JuniorFootballers Win.

Our 2012 EastCork Junior Football Championship Campaign opened last Friday night under thelights in Carrigtwohill. For the last few years we had suffered narrow defeatsin our first round ties so it was with a degree of trepidation that the teamtravelled to take on Aghada in the first round. While this was Aghada's secondteam they are the most successful football club in East Cork.  We entered the game after four league gamesin the East Cork Division 2 of the JFL with two wins and two defeats. In Carrigon Friday night the team produced a fine brand of attacking football and intotal six players contributed to our score-sheet.  The teams were level Bride Rovers 1  2 to Aghada 0  5 at halftime. Goals from Alan O Keeffe and sub Padraig Murphy helped us to a meritedvictory over Aghada on a final scoreline of; Bride Rovers 2-7 Aghada 0-10
