Last Friday night we had a run out against Lisgoold winning on the scoreline of Aghada 1-10 Lisgoold 0-11

On Fri 23rd we play Bride Rovers in the Junior A Football championship venue T B D

Thur 8th Mar Eastern Region Minor A F L 2 Aghada 0-11 Castlelyons 4-10

Our Minors travelled to Castlelyons and met a home side who are on a roll with seven of their side involved with St Colemans who won the Munster senior collages football final and are looking forward to the fore coming all Ireland semi final. Aghada started well and played with great heart and spirit, with Jack Hayes, Mike Gilroy, Conor O'Driscoll and Jake O'Donoghue all outstanding but the home side went in 1-6 to 0-5 up at the short whistle.

On resuming we shipped a few soft goals that put our backs to the wall but we still fought on playing with great pride and no little skill scoring six minors

While the scoring was disappointing our work rate and our football was tip top. This minor team have very few players on the age and the young fellows stepped up to the plate. We fielded 7 u16's and 2 U15's, which is always going to be hard at this level. They will be brighter days ahead. Team and scores

Michael Leahy, Sean Daly, James O Leary, Shane Dorney, Andrew Murphy, Michael Gilroy, Shane Crowley, Conor O Driscoll 0-5, Jake O Donoghue, Shane Bennett 0-3, Scott Coyle Garde, Stephen Murphy 0-2, Aaron Stafford 0-1, Jack Hayes, Shane O Hanlon.
