Junior Football League  6th March 2012
Glenbower Rovers 0-6 Russell Rovers 5-10

Our Junior footballer’s made it 2 wins in a row last Tuesday night, 7th March. We continued on from our impressive performance against Aghada with a comprehensive win against a poor Glenbower side. The game itself was one way traffic with the rover’s back rarely troubled by the Glenbower  forwards.  The Rover’s forward on the other hand kept the Glenbower backs under severe amount of pressure from start to finish. The game was over at the half time whistle with a score line of Glenbower 0-2 Rovers 3-07. Some good finishing from Colman Quinlan and Brian Whelehan, with a brace of goals each, and a punt forward by Paudie Higgins which the Glenbower keeper fumbled into the net  added to the rout. By the full time whistle the rovers had notched up 5-10 to Glenbower’s  6pts in the hour, a real statement for this early on in the year and a good result to build on for the team.
