Killeagh GAA News

For our second senior league outing of the year Midleton were the visitors to Killeagh on Saturday evening. With less than a month to go to Senior Championship both sides were looking for a competitive game and players were fighting for places. A bright start to the first half saw Joe Deane open the scoring with one of five first half scores and both teams continued to trade scores with Sean Long and Brian Collins also opening their account. Half time score Killeagh 0-7 Midleton 0-5.
Joe Deane again opened our account for the second half and as the intensity of the game increased Killeagh looked the stronger and always had control of a tight game. John O'Connor, Davy Kelleher and Joe Budds also opened their scoring accounts but an outstanding performance from Joe Deane saw him notch up 13 points in total in this game due to the great supportive play from the players around him. A strong well balanced performance from all players involved in this squad saw Killeagh win on a final scoreline of 0-19 to 0-13.
