Championship Draws 2012

The draw for this years hurling championship was made on Wednesday 18th  January in Midleton GAA club. Rovers ended up being paired with reigning champions Dungourney.

Avondhu/ Imokilly League
The Avondhu/Imokilly Junior Hurling League groupings were drawn on Wednesday 25th January in Midleton. We have been drawn in a group with Shanballymore, Harbour Rovers (Glanworth), Newtownshandrum, Kildorrery and Ballyhooly from the Avondhu division along with fellow East Cork teams Cobh, Castlemartyr, Bride Rovers and championship opponents Dungourney.
Junior Hurling Div 3 Section 2
In the Div 3 league Rovers have been drawn with the following teams - Midleton, Sarsfield , Ballinacurra, Carrigtwohill, Cobh, St Catherines, Bride Rovers and Lisgoold. Fixture's to be announced later in the year.
Junior Football Div 3
The Div 3 league kicks off on Sat 11th Feb. Rovers have been drawn with the following teams - St. Catherine's, Aghada, Glenbower Rovers, Carrigtwohill, Carraig na bhFear, Cloyne, Lisgoold and Glenville. First Fixture Vs  St Catherines away in Ballynoe at 2:30pm on Sunday 19th February.
Cliff Walk
The proceeds of our Cliff Walk fundraiser are fully gathered, and the team  raised a grand total of €2,989.00. This is a great result both for our team and also for Marymount Hospice. Well done to everyone who participated and who received sponsorship - everyone can be proud of the efforts.
Membership
Membership is now due and can be paid to Brian Crowley. €50 for Adults and €25 for U21

New club crest:

This is the new crest for the rovers, It  shows Lighthouse overlooking Ballycotton bay, and the rolling hills of Churchtown to Shanagarry with the castle.  It will be used for all rovers matters from now on.
