An Historic Night for East Cork GAA Tonight

Tonight is a very special occasion for the East Cork Board with the 'Official Launch' of An Illustrated History of the GAA in East Cork 1924 – 2010 at Club Áras Mainistir na Corann at 8pm.
The brand new publication will be officially launched by Uachtaran Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Crístoír Ó Cuana and also present will be Uachtarán Chumann Camógaíochte na nGael Siobhan Ní Fhloinn, Cathaoirleach Choiste Chorcaí Diarmaid Ó Súilleabháin, Cathaiorleach Bord Oithear Chorcaí Micheál Ó Briain agus Tomás Ó Muiríosán.

There will also be a presentation of Dick Barrett medals to the Imokilly Under 15's and entertainment by Scór from Aghada GAA and Fr. O'Neill's GAA.

Tonight is a culmination of many decades of hard work and dedication by the Author Tom Morrison assisted by Michael O'Brien in association with the East Cork Board.

With over 200 memorable photographs and over 500 pages in an A4 format this new book will be a reference for many generations to come and tonight will be a historic night in the history of our association in East Cork, Cork County and throughout the land for people who, play, love and follow our games.

Tom Morrison has achieved an almost impossible task in capturing over 80 years of history, folklore and recordings of moments of great importance throughout many years of competition and events.
