REGULATIONS FOR AVONDHU/IMOKILLY
HURLING & FOOTBALL LEAGUES 2012

1. Football league will start on 19th of February and finish on or before the 30th of June
2. Hurling league will start w/e 11th march and will be finished on or before the 31st July.
3. there will be semi finals in both codes
4. every club is to have at least 1 representative at fixture meetings
5. Matches fixed for Avondhu venues will have an Avondhu referee appointed by Avondhu board.  matches fixed for Imokilly venues will have an Imokilly referee appointed by Imokilly board
6. Disciplinary matters arising from league matches will be dealt with by the six committee members with referee’s reports to be forwarded to Secretary Denis Twomey, Rúnaí of Avondhu board.
7. first walk-over/unfulfilled fixture €100
8. second walk-over/unfulfilled  fixture €100 and disqualification plus €100 for each remaining fixture
9. If a team travels to a ratified fixture and the home team fails to field, €100 expenses will be due to the travelling team from the home team in addition to the unfilled fixture fine and the referee’s expenses.
10. Where the appointed referee fails to attend, an agreement must be reached between the sides on a substitute referee by either tossing or agreement.  Failing to comply with this rule will result in forfeiture of the league points for the club failing to agree.
11. If the winner of the league is an Imokilly team, the Imokilly cup will be presented.  If the winner of the league is an Avondhu team, the cup presented will be an Avondhu cup.
12. Three officers from the Avondhu board and three officers from the Imokilly board will make up the committee to run this league.
13. No postponements will be granted once the game is ratified.  No change of date or time permitted after a date and time is ratified.  The first named team has the home venue but if same is not available, the game must be played at the opponent’s venue.  If the opponent’s venue is not available, an alternative venue must be found.
14. The two lowest ranked Imokilly teams across both sections will be relegated to division 2, and likewise the two lowest ranked Avondhu teams.
15. Semi finals will be played in neutral venues within both divisions. finals will be in fermoy regardless of who is in the final
