County Intermediate football league Round 5 Glenville 1-7 Mayfield 0-6 Glenville hosted Mayfield on Saturday evening for round 5 of the intermediate football league and produced a good win on the day.

The highlight of this past weekend apart from the fabulous weather, was the final day of the Cashman Cup held in Blackrock Hurling Club on Church Road. The Cashman Cup is an U-10 invitational tournament.

Another quiet weekend on the club front with just two results of note. Unfortunately, out intermediates lost out to a strong Blackrock side. The lads are battling hard no doubt, they will turn the corner soon.

Bride Rovers 1-12 Newtownshandrum 2-20 On Friday we played our last league game against a strong Newtown team. The first half was evenly balanced with the score 1-7 to 7 in favour of the visitors.
